Not sure which year you have, but the automatic cable adjusment may need adjusting.

It is easy to do...

Locate fuse bx in engine compartment in front of driver on firewall. Lean over it and look directly underneath. You will see the cable coming thru the wall. It has a length of spring wrapped aroud it. Work your hand in there (or move the fuse box) and pull the spring about 1/2 to 1" away from firewall and release. That should reratchet the adjuster.
