Well it all comes down to how new you are looking to go. If you are planning on getting a 900 then you realy only have 5 years to consider 94, 95, 96, 97, and 98. Most people will tell you the 94's and 95's dont handle as well as the 96+ which I find to be true. If you can swing it, 96, 97, or 97 is the year to seek out.
Next, you have to look at options. Do you want the 2.3, the 2.0 Turbo or the V6? You WANT a Turbo... trust me. I made the mistake of going with the 2.3 and wish I had spent the few extra for the turbo. Even as an every day driver the turbo is well worth it and I am sure most here agree.
That realy narows down your search to just a few cars. As for the problems and what you should expect to replace I am not the one to answer that. I am sure other people will speak up with that info. I am new to the NG I am a converted classic 900 man.. :)
Welcome to the board!
