There is not very much you can do for your problem. Most automatics with small turbo engines are like this. However, a few mods will help the turbo spool up quicker. The mbc is a good first step. You should however get at least a cat-back exhaust to lower the backpressure. Getting a 3" downpipe would take it one step further as on my car the turbo seemed to get full boost 300-500 rpm earlier than on the stock downpipe. The airbox mod and K&N will also help the initial turbo spool time as well. A Viggen intercooler gives benfit of slightly quicker spool time as well.
As you can see, my point is that most of the mods done for overall engine power will help the turbo spin up quicker. Otherwise, there is not much you can do to get an automatic tranny car off the line quicker. I can also recommend lighter wheels and smaller overall circumference tires. The reduced weight and lower gear effect can also help out accelleration.
Good luck!
