are basically screwed. Saab tells me that the old style support is no longer available, all there is is the 3 piece replacement unit. This means that the header pipe or in my case the exhaust studs will break, so if you replace it the new one will break also.

Looks like you have one of two options, fabricate your own rigid one piece bracket modeled after the original,(I may dig mine out of the trash and repair by welding) and repair by welding when it breaks again, or buy a new header pipe with a flex joint for a later model vehicle, this comes integrated with the cat and costs about 1,000.00, and this is provided it will even bolt up to my car. Maybe something aftermarket? At any rate, this sucks.
