Here's an interesting article that's been on the web in various places for ages concerning teflon based additives. I think the original study was done at Princeton. I tend to believe that if any oil additive was valuable, it would be marketed for profit by BIG-OIL interests (who control the world anyhow). As much as I love MdSO4("MolyKote" was the 60's name for this graphite similar stuff, I think I remember the chemical name-molybdenum disulfide) as a slick lube for mechanical stuff, I bet its use is questionable as far as a high temperature lubricating agent for engine bearings, rings, etc. I do use it on my antenna mast occasionally though.
I only say this because with 255 k miles on a Ford V-6 and 243k miles on the '94 SET, neither with any engine problems, overhaul or oil burning-- and 10w30 Havoline dino year round, the excessive cost/benefit of these additives might be questionable. Their use might also be detrimental, clogging up stuff that was meant to flow.
Use your own judgement.
