Well it will be a week since I switched to M1 10/30W Tri-Syn formula after 7 years/160,000kms of dino oil. In any case, here are some of my observations:

- Got a leak. Tracked it to the oil filter but will confirm tomorrow at the dealer that did the change for me. Hope it is just that i.e. the filter.
- Getting a low hum when engine is accelerating between 2500~2800 RPM. Not sure about this. Maybe I should have stuck with 5/30W???
- Fuel consumption seems poorer. Use to get about 320 kms by the time gas level reaches half but got only around 280 kms. Same daily driving pattern.
- Engine runs cooler. Prior to change, temp is usually at 9:00PM regardless of driving pattern. Now I notice that the temp hovers between 7:30 and 8:00PM when cruising at 90+ kms for more than 15 minutes. Engine seems to be cooler/smoother??
- Engine smoothness (if there is such a term) seems about the same.

If anyone care to share their thoughts, it is greatly appreciated! Feeling a little tentative until leak and sound goes away.
