I removed the metal housings anyway and put everything back together and WOW what a difference at night. Tonight it was amazing, I could see almost a 100% better. Also as a note. While cleaning the lenses I also figured I would clean the reflectors.....BAD MOVE......when I sprayed them with the windex cleaner it seemed to act like an acid and the chrome started peeling and wiping off...Talk about being pissed. So I didn't do the other with cleaner only a rag and it too started allowing the chrome to rub off.....There was some peeling of the chrome just above the bulbs, seemed to me that it had gotten TOO hot in there. The bulbs are factory units but who knows what has been in it prior to me owning it. Anyway would like to hear if any others have tried this mod.
