I was living in Europe when I ordered my NG900 and test drove one with a 2.0 engine because it was all that the dealer in Budapest had as a demonstrator. I found the engine to be VERY weak, to the point where I wondered why someone would even dream of putting such a small engine in such a car. Since I was going to be spending the next four years in Vienna and traveling regularly, I wanted something that would be better suited to the autobahn. The 2.0 isn't.

Model years - an American or a Canadian would call your car a 1994 model - unlike Europe, it doesn't matter if the car was actually built the year before, so long as it is the new model (when I bought mine, it was 7/96, but if it had been built a month later it would've been a 97 model).
