My '87 900s now at 250k only stranded me twice in 4 years 80k miles and is easy to work on. My new to me '97 900 SET with 103k is in the shop because I didn't want to drop the gas tank on the street so I could replace the fuel pump. I drive the 50 mile roundtrip commute every day in the old 900 with confidence. I plan to trade my "new" 900 in for a classic 900 convertable at my first opportunity. If I can find a classic 900 with similar miles to my NG 900, I'll feel more confident driving it and feel secure in the lower cost of ownership. The NG is a good car, but the classic is much better and cheaper to own.
