Over the weekend i hit a pothole, the type new york city is known for and had the rudest, most pardon the word assholish service department on the face of the earth. Due to the incredible maliablity of the vikings my wheel and tire were destroyed to the point of gut-wrenching sadness. After having my vechile towed to Zumbach Saab service on 56th St in manhattan( on a friday afternoon none-the-less) I was originally turned away by a certain assistance servive manager by being told "go somewhere else....just buy a tire...i don't need this car...etc." After the tow-truck driver confirmed the fact that the wheel was now garbage they finally let me leave my car. That's right....Not a rim in sight....nothing? I had to leave my car for 4 days for Manhattan's only SAAB dealer to get me a Viking? Meanwhile they claim to service upwards of 35 cars a day...and NOT one wheel or a donut?!? Way to help out a customer. To further add to this aggravation they would not even talk to me until I pre-authorized a sales receipt. Then, to add icing to this proverbial cake they refused to order me the exact tire I had because.....still wating for an answer on that one Zumbach and Co. Even after the completion of this transaction the rudness and obvious snotiness further continued when they proceded to leave my car at an off-site garage who would have loved to charge me $54.13 had I not picked up my car within 12 hours of service(so for those of you whom like my-self attend work/school in the afternoon make sure that your car is not completed at 8:30am)...In addition to my wheel/tire combo I asked for a service man to simply reset my SRS light too...but apparantly in the hour for which I was billed to have a tire mounted they did not have time to do this....So after spending $575.14 along with an entire afternoon in the hands of Rudeness and Incompetance I just hope that you never have a break-down or anything requiring the assistance of a dealer in the island of Manhattan, for that you too will suffer the wrath of that, Zumbach SAAB.
