As michael p says, it might be a frozen idler pulley. Don't drive the car.
Not only does the V6 being finnicky with tensioner kit and so on, it also need a mechanic that know how to set all the different pulleys and tensioner to proper specs.
I have seen a couple of cars coming from a "Saab expert" where the tensioner was not set up properly resulting in over or under tensioned T-belt.
On one car, only the plastic outer cover held the timing belt onto it's sprockets, and when I removed the cover the timing belt jumped the teeth when hand cranking the engine over.
When mounting a new timing belt, I always hook up the air mass meter and start the car with cover off. This way I can look at the tensioner and where the setting is. If need be I can do some fine adjustments before installing all the covers and serpentin belt.
But this takes extra time, and not all mechanics are interested in "wasting" time like that.
