Just in the past few days I've noticed a faint smell of burning rubber. I don't hear any noises but every once in a while I catch a whiff if it. I'm almost certain it's the serpentine but not 100%. What I'm wondering is, if no noises and inconsistent occurances, is this something I should be concerned about? The car in question is a '97 900s with 69K miles. It just had it's 65K services, but this was before I owned it and I am not sure what was replaced (if anything). The belt itself looks very good as do the pulleys, near as I can tell. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
