Clutch pedal going to the floor!!!

I was coasting down a hill and depressed the clutch pedal to put it back in gear. About 80% of the way down the clutch lost all resistance. Coasted to a safe place and parked it. No resistance on the pedal, but it does return itself to its upright position. Tried starting the car with pedal depressed and it was like the clutch was not engaged. The car has 130K on it. I have never had to replace a clutch so I don't know what that would feel like. I have not had any problems with the clutch that I know of. Could something have broken, or is it that the clutch is just gone?
Thanks,
Justin
