Got the old radius arm out and cut out the old metal sleeve (the bushing just twisted out of the sleeve, so it was on borrowed time for sure). Put a real quick spray of silicone on both the arm and bushing surfaces, and used my 6" craftsman vise to press the bushing into the arm. I took my time to make sure I was pressing it in straight, but was able to get enough torque with the vise to push it in all the way. A couple of hints:
- freeze the new bushing - Nick from an earlier post recommended this to help shrink the new bushing, and it worked well.
- save the old metal sleeve from the bad bushing (if you didn't mangle it too bad getting it out). If you put the curled side against the new bushing and push the old sleeve, it works real well as a surface for the vise to press the new bushing in.
arm went back in easy (learned from other side), and now have 2 new bushings (and 1 new arm...).
