First impressions of Taliaferro/Speedparts intake kit

Uses the same three mounting points as the stock air box. Snug fit. Taking the headlight out made it easier to secure the front lower nut. The curved hard pipe is barely touching the RH headlight aiming knob, so I may fiddle with alignment some more to get a little clearance there.
Diameter of curved tube is roughly 3 1/2" so it adds in interesting baritone note to the induction sounds. I was expecting more turbo whine, but no difference in mechanical turbo sounds that I can hear.
After a hard run, noticed the area around the air filter was distinctly less hot that the rest of the engine bay, so heat shield is doing something.
Subjectively, it seems the sports exhaust note is deeper now, but that could also just be resonance (in my ears I mean) with the lower intake note? Also subjectively, it seems slightly less torquey at WOT from 0 mph for the first second or so, but that could just as well be perceptual - caused by the earlier onset of "sporty" acceleration sounds than before. Didn't stopwatch anything, all just impressions.
Kept the stock airbox just in case.
