It is compatible with the head unit and is plug compatible with the connector in the trunk. I replaced my old OEM with one. But as for "clip in" compatibility, it depends. My DC-625 came with generic mounts that would have attached by sticking to the metal behind the carpet liner. Instead of that, I reused the old metal box that enclosed the original unit. The DC-625 doesn't line up with the mounting holes in that box because it is smaller than the OEM unit. A couple of us have installed it by adapting that box with a few new holes - search for the old threads for tips.
If you don't have a gray metal box around your OEM unit, you'll need to see if someone else here has installed one in a box-less car.
