Do you have 4 wire or 3 wire sensors? If 4 wire, don't worry about the ground, it has its own ground lead. If 3 wire, the problem resistance may be somewhere between the exhaust and the chassis. Measure the resistance from the sensor body to the frame. As I said, you only have to worry about this is if you don't have the 4 wire sensors, which came in either 96 or 97. You can get a Walker sensor for $100 that is a direct plug in replacement, btw.
