michael p, thanks for answering my question 13 months before I asked it! I thought I had the problem solved when I discovered that there was no relay under the passenger seat of the 95 900 SE convertible that I had just bought. But when I tried the relay from the driver's seat in the receptacle under the passenger seat, the passenger seat still did not work. Thanks for explaining that the passenger seat relay depends on the driver's seat relay. Also, I gather from your message that the two relays are interchangeable, so I can just buy a relay which matches the one under the driver's seat. The local dealership would not tell me this. I called the parts dept. wanting to buy a relay for the passenger seat and the parts guy asked for a part no., which I did not have. I gave him the part no. for the driver seat relay. He said he could only find a part no. for the driver seat (the one I gave him), and could not even tell if a relay was required for the passenger seat, then referred me to the service dept. The service dept. guy would not say if a relay was needed on the passenger seat, only that they would need to look at the car and a minimum 2 hour $180 diagnostic routine plus parts and labor for repair would be required. Needless to say I will buy the relay I need elsewhere!
