I've got a 95 900s with 111k on a 2.3L. The value of this particular car, while in good condition, is way below the $7500 you're talking about. In your case, on the positive side, you've got a car with only 61k on the tranny and body and a brand new 0 mile engine - that'd be very attractive. On the other hand, you've got a 9 year old car in terms of suspension, body, seals, etc. Was this car always in the snow belt? If so, while it may not have rust, it will have more wear on rubber items and things like the exhaust may be more prone to issues. Personally, if I were looking at a 9 year old Saab, 7500 would be more than I'd wanna spend, even with the new engine. Having done some maintenance on my son's 95, the motor maintenance was definitely not the most expensive pieces of work I've done (brakes, suspension, shocks/struts, etc).
just my thoughts - andy
