And we have been driving it pretty hard since we bought it at 33K miles. I often shift with the gear selector during mountain driving too, which drives my wife nuts, but I don't think its doing any harm - just reducing # of unwanted shifts. I did have the notorious "check gearbox" light from a failing neutral safety switch, but my extended warranty covered it ($50 deductible). I've been changing the tranny fluid about every 6-8 months or so.
