I usually use dawn for a wash before I clay. I like to remove all the old wax first. After I clay the car I will wash it with the a regular car wash like Gold Class.

The 3M swirl remover is the best! Good choice.

This weekend I will be doing the same thing with the Viggen with the following process:

Wash with Dawn
Zaino Z-18 Clay Bar (Use Z-7 and water as lubricant)
Zaino z-7 Car Wash
3M Imperial Hand Glaze
P21S Carnuba
Zaino Z-6 boost
Invisible Glass on all windows
Back to Black on trim pieces
Mothers Chrome Polish on Exhuast Tip
Eagle One on the Tires

Looks showcar ready at the end...
