I agree with lep about the time needed for proper Zaino application. The critical chink in the Zaino armor is that it has no ability to polish or clean the paint nor can it remove swirls and other defects. You've got to use other products to do those jobs. Zaino is optically clear so if you don't make the effort to clean and polish your paint, Zaino will simply seal in the defects and imperfections. Not exactly what folks want.
I tried the Blackfire w/ carnauba topper (using Pinnacle Souveran) right after BF was introduced in late 2001. I really liked the combo and even now I think it left the best overall appearance on my Scarabe Green 9-5. But done right, Zaino is more durable, slicker, easier to maintain, and added a gloss that I think the paint needed.
Its generally suggested that light colors and metallics, esp white and silver, can greatly benefit from Zaino and other sealants while dark colors, esp black, look best with carnaubas. But practical matters typically decide which is the best choice. Most people who try Zaino really like it and I'm sure you will too. Is it the best? Well, if it were there wouldn't be the thousands of other car care products on the market.
Hope this helps. Happy Zainoing!! :)
