at dissolving a lot of the brake dust on your wheels. You apply it to a dry, cool wheel, and let it sit. You can apply it again if they are really bad. (Quicksilver used to be a lot better by the way, but they had to reformulate it because it was very strong, and pretty poisonous, but it is still pretty good stuff now.) Then you hose off the cleaner and get the residual dust and road grime off with a plastic brush or try an old sock on your hand that is soaked with soapy water. I agree that waxing your wheels can do a good job at creating a barrier so that future dirt and brake dust doesn't adhere to the wheel. Hope this helps.
