Powder coating looks good, but it is a electrostatic powder that is applied then baked for a while to "melt" the powder into a liquidy finish. It is not the easiest thing to do yourself, it requires special equipment, and I would think that under high braking heat it could possibly melt, but I don't know that for a fact. Seems like painting it with a high temperature paint would be easier to do yourself, cheaper, would look just as good, and you pretty much know that it won't melt with heat if you use the right paint. Don't the auto manufacturers like Porsche and Ferrari paint their calipers? If you do anything I would check with a professional powder coater for his input on the subject. Hope this helps.
