I feel like I'm pimping this stuff recently.
With a newer car, you shouldn't need to do a whole lot of prep work. A good wash, with car wash soap, should do the trick. Once the car is dried, apply NXT in a very thin coat, and do 2 panels at a time. You don't want it to dry too much - may make it harder to get off.
Also - there is a product called NXT booster wax - use it after subsequent washing and the protection should hold up very well.
One final note - Get some nice microfiber towels for drying and removing waxes. Scratches will result when using regular towels.
Good Luck
