Question for Mike Lynch

Seems to me I read that all manufacturers must sell to all dealers at the same price. If a dealer in Coldernell N.D. orders one car, and a dealer in New York orders 30 cars...equipped exactly the same, isn'nt the price per unit the same amount by federal law for both dealers? In other words volume means nothing. Seems to me this was passed in 1956 along with the MSRP window sticker legislation to keep large dalers from putting smaller ones out of business. The only way around it was to go to "fleet" sales and order boodles of one model all alike with a few changed decals and call it a "Texas Tornado" or something like that. That was how and why so few 427 Camaros were produced. Nickey Chevrolet, Yenko Chevrolet and one other dealer ordered through the COPO of G.M..
Everybody is of the mindset..."if you order a bunch, you get em' cheaper". If I am right you can win a lot of beers with this...but it also starts one HELL of an argument.
Thanks for your time and knowledge Mike...you must know the answer or can find out.
Good Saabin
