Try the C900 board, but here's my thoughts...
The fuel lamp uses a contact that's built into the fuel gauge sender, in the gas tank. It's a separate circuit vs. the gauge itself. Either the sender is faulty, or the wire's pinched somewhere in between.
I assume heat comes in everywhere except the center vents. Those don't even see the heater core. There's a rod connecting the temperature dial back to the actual heater valve. It's not unusual for that rod to fall out of place. Take out the left speaker to get to it.
I'm not sure what you mean about the controls not being on... What's the question there? Is it that they just don't work? The dial that directs air to different vents has a big gang of vacuum hoses connected to it. They might have come off, or you don't good vacuum in the first place to operate those controls.
