Consumer Reports Annual Automobile Survey

Consumer Reports reliability records are often mentioned, and with the J D Powers report, people questioning what they consider a complaint, I thought I'd share how CR words their survey (that I just completed).
13. If you had any problems with your car in the last year (April 1, 2002 through March 31, 2003) that you considered SERIOUS (because of cost, failure, safety, or downtime), check the appropriate box(es) in the column for each car. Include problems covered by warranty, but do not include any resulting from accident damage. Don’t include replacement of normal maintenance items (like brake pads, batteries, and mufflers) unless they were replaced much sooner or more often than expected.
They then list a dozen or so categories (probably correspond to categories listed in frequency of repair), with brief explanation of each category.
My past 12 months and 16,500 miles with my first SAAB, resulted in nothing but glowing responses to the survey. I did have the expansion valve replaced, software fixes for rough idle, and still dubious about rotor lifespan, but I didn't consider anything to meet the requirements listed above for reporting a problem.
Well, after the reliability portion, they had a more subjective portion where you indicated your satisfaction with a variety of parameters. The one including cupholders, storage bins caused me pause, as better 2nd front cupholder would be nice, as well as more console storage (CD's etc.), but since they lumped that in with overall vehicle storage, the Sport Wagon rules, I couldn't respond other than "completely satisfied."
