First of all keep in mind that the majority of people driving BMWs have no idea what the U.D.M. label means. They assume it is really the Ultimate Status Symbol, so to them the looks of the car are important, or perhaps it's just the little blue/white badge?
If it's the U.D.M. as they keep proclaiming then why do they make the exterior so funky and busy? I thought the previous versions of the 5 and 7 were fine - plain which is all they need to be if in fact the UDM claim is true. Will they do the same to the 3 series? Hmmmm . . . let's hope so . . . it could be a good thing for SAAB.
A lot of people DO put some importance on the exterior appearance of their cars. Otherwise why wash, wax, etc? Just let the exterior go and keep the interior clean since that's all you'll ever see, right?
