Leather cleaner is fine. Saddle Soap is exactly that- made to clean saddles back in the day. It leather cleaner too, but a STRONG version and not recommmend for regular use on fine leather (then again- I'm sure it would fine).
The wheel is usually pretty grimmey- that's why I mentioned it. I use saddle soap on small, very dirty spots once in a while.
I'd say any conditioneer is fine- I'm partial to Lexol brand, but that's a can of worms for sure - see detail BB.
