Report on the Ding King: It really works......... Posted by andy [Email] (#759) [Profile/Gallery] (more from andy) on Sun, 8 Jun 2003 15:18:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I saw it on TV but didn't buy it until it appeared in a local store. Used it today to remove three quarter sized parking lot dings in the door that have bothered me for a long time.
Product works as advertised, high quality parts, good glue gun, simple and accurate instructions. First shallow dent was the real eyesore because it was up high near the window; it disappeared with only one pull. And I mean disappeared, its just not there anymore. The second took several passes as it was a more severe door ding and the third was a ding with a vertical crease from the other guy's door. The paint (citrin beige) wasn't boken in any of the dents, so just putting the sheetmetal back to level is a big improvement in appearance.
Now the metal stretches whenever its hit, so on the more severe dents you may see some ripples when you site down the side of the car. But from head on, they appear to be gone, its a whole lot better than before, two of the dents just can't be seen from any angle, the most severe one left a little ripple. Glue does not harm the paint - it great to see something work as advertised. Hats off to Billie Mays. Maybe I'll buy some of that orange stuff he's pushing. $30 well spent.
