Everything I've read on this shows that it doesn't really work. The only place it might work is on mild, dished-type depressions in large body panels where there was no metal deformation - just a press-in over a few inches. It most definately DOESN'T work with those little shopping-cart dings. In those, the metal has been deformed and stretched, and there is nothing to 'pull-out'.
There is a very good reason why body shops have skilled people with lots of fancy tools.
