When I worked for Saab in Public Relations we used to keep a list of all the Saabs in movies & TV and which celebrities were driving them. When Saabs are in movies & TV it obviously has to be worked out through Saab and whatever dealer they would be borrowing a car from. I remember talking with Orion Pictures I think it was for a Saab that was to be in Throw Momma From the Train. Never saw the movie, though. I know that Mrs. Fields (cookie lady!) back in the 80's had a red 900S. Also, Saabs were always in Seinfeld episodes (Jerry likes them) I can remember JoAnn Woodward calling Saab to inquire about purchasing one for their daughter. Also, the girl who played Darlene on Roseanne used to drive a Saab.
As for movies ... Saab is in A LOT of them, but the ones I remember are Mercury Rising, The Fly, Deep Impact, As Good As It Gets, Traffic, Swordfish, Gross Pointe Blank, GI Jane a James Bond movie, too, I think and several others. They're always appearing in TV shows, too. I usually spot them, too. Its gotten to be a "habit" (hobby?) almost to check for them in the background. :)
