I went to midas, the NG900 has a unique connection, like a ball joint almost, which just stumped em'. Well, after driving for one day, it was louder than with the hole in the middle muffler, so I took it to saab (this was before I knew I could do this myself in like 10 minutes, thanks to the bb) and had a saab muffler put on, I'll bet I was the first person ever to return a muffler to midas(it was guaranteed, right?), they couldn't even figure out how to do a refund on the computer. Apparently they just took a straight pipe, stuck it in, and filled the remaining ball housing joint part with muffler putty, real messy like.

Well, according to the saab guy, "they bend their own pipe" meaning, I guess, that the stuff doesn't always fit right. Plus, you can use a lower (or higher) grade of metal.
