So last week I read The Charm School by Nelson Demille based on good reviews from my mom. I liked it, so I picked up another one called Spencerville. Back cover had the words "intelligence officer" in the first line or 2 of the blurb, so I thought it could be cool.

Anyway, the 2nd sentence mentions the main character drives a Saab 900. I'm only about 90 pages into it, and he sold it. He moved from DC to somewhere near Toledo, OH and there are many passages about hayseeds wondering what the heck he is driving. He also finds the car too conspicuous for sneaking around the small town. Either the author has owned one of these, or he has a close friend who does. He got all the reactions of these cars down.

BTW, it was a black 1992 C900 with manual shift. :)

Any other books with Saabs?
