Yeah, I'm probably older than you (31) but I think Radiohead has great appeal. I really got into them with 'The Bends' album, but thought of them only as a nice band with nice songs. Then, when I was living in Japan during grad school, 'OK Computer' came out and completely blew me away. It's gotta be as significant an album as Bowie's RFZiggyS. (I think OK Computer was listed as the #1 album of all time or some such distinction by the UK Music Press consortium within the last year or so). The new 'Hail to the Theif' is basically as good as 'OK Computer', so I think it is an amazing achievement since it sounds really very different. You can hear all the inlfuences of Stones, Aphex Twin, mid-70s Eno-Bowie, 60's modern jazz, 20th century modern classical (Messiean and Part), etc. So exciting too when the songs are going along and then just burst into something fast and unexpected.
