A co-worker of a family member was issued a 'Speeding Violation' from EZ-Pass in NY travelling between Buffalo and Rochester. And no, it was not going through the lane too fast.
The were issued the citation that said they would have been travelling above 80 (not sure on the exact speed) given the time it took them to get from one exit to the other.
Oddly enough, the couple was in their (01 or 02) Viggen convertible.
Also, I read an article (not sure if it was in Buffalo, or just the story reported here) where they caught a suspected thief using the method described. The individual stole the Lincoln or Caddie. On-Star was called, and they both shut the car down AND locked the doors until the Police were on scene.
