I would take it back. I can see how they are emotional about it now, but that will pass. We had our house robbed as a kid and my mom was very upset that someone had been in her house stealing stuff and looking around. We slept there that night and the emotions passed and who cares now. Gotta think of it from the theif's perspective -- the Olds was no different that the 10 other stereos he stole that day. He probably wouldn't even remember the brand of the car he stole. he had no personal attachment... Take it back, fix it the steering column and get a new radio. If they still decide they don't want it and I get to move to the Northeast in teh next few months I take it as a winter car when I store the Viggen:)
Seriously though -- the emotion will pass....good looking car for the age. Gald to see it was recovered.
