Thanks again for the details. (I had read the glass roof would not make it into production). I totally agree that it is basically a (dearly needed) wagon. In our marketing-driven world, the term wagon is just not cool anymore but what counts is this car will be very good for Saab. OTOH, the disappointing part in your translation of the article is that an AWD version is not planned and the new 9-5 is delayed to 2008. I truly hope the 9-2 and 9-7 half-siblings will help keep the ball rolling till them. It’s obvious GM has been very beneficial to Saab but reports like this seem to indicate they are not willing to put the turbo on future development, as Nissan and Volvo have done, to name only them because they seemed to be going nowhere not so long ago. Perhaps as sales keep increasing as they have been for a while, the momentum will pick up and future Saab projects will come sooner. I guess the glass is half full or half empty, depending on what side of the bed you got up.
