the custom part is the feet where it mates to pre-drilled holes in the roof. If you buy a generic thule rack, the fit is a lot more complicated. Buying from the saabcatalog is the best and cleanest fit. I would get the Saab/Thule cross bars, and then you can get a box, rack, or whatever else you want from anywhere else like REI. I don't know if there are any big differences between yakima and Thule other than the square/round thing, but since thule makes the OEM bars, I have always gone with their boxes and bike racks. I had the saab cross bars for my 96 900SE, and now have an 01 wagon with the saab cross bars.
