I never thought I'd recommend a Chrysler, but my sister just bought a Pacifica and although I'm not a fan of SUV's or Minivan's I got to say I like the way Chrysler has taken this car/van/suv. It's lower to the ground than most suv's and minivan's and its quite comfortable. It drives more like a car than an SUV and rides nicely. I wouldn't buy one myself, since I'm not a fan of large vehicles, but I think it may do the trick for your friend.
