Take a usual Tarantino movie...usually mostly dialog and comedy with some actiona and gore.
Now...think of a Tarantino ACTION movie. Less dialog, less comedy, MORE action and gore.
Film it in a style that is drawing from Japanese Anime. Not the stuff you see on tv, but the stuff you would download from dodgy websites about violence or get at a DVD place in a small room in the back of a DVD store in Tokyo.
And then extrapolate where that movie would GO.
WOW! Thats all I say. Definitely not for those who
1. DO not like blood. (Even the sort of cartoonish effects he used)
2. Cannot take onscreen violence as being just a movie.
But he definitely gives you another movie that is so beyond what anyone else has ever done you have to be just impressed with the fact he did it. And then...if you LIKE the movie...well then you'll be even MORE impressed.
Can't wait for the 2nd one now.
