what to watch out for when choosing a bodyshop? Posted by Gordon [Email] (#97) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gordon) on Sat, 11 Oct 2003 18:27:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had some bodywork &paint jobs done at a bodyshop last summer, I wasn't very happy with either....I just bought an '85 SPG, it will need the passenger side rear fender replaced sometime soon, I am going to be careful choosing who I let do this this time, I was wondering if there is anything special I should watch for/ask when choosing who I let do the repairs &paint work.....My last 2 paint jobs didn't come out all that great, and I made it very clear to the bodyshop I wanted the cars paint to look just they way they looked when they were new....I had one black SPG painted and I found one spot where the paint actually dripped, and in the sunlight I could see swirl marks from wet sanding Im guessing....I was very unhappy, also....I had my gray SPG painted, and it didnt come out as glossy as I wanted, I DO NOT want similar things to happen with my '85 SPGs bodywork/paint.
Thanks
