Good points made by all!

I just think there are more important things Ravi (and anyone one else who cares to chime in) could whine about than bashing American's and SUV consumption. Personally, I'm more concerned about some of the examples I cited (Indonesia, Africa) than Americans and SUV's. Same !ame-a$$, tree-hugging, liberal argument -- but a diffent forum (Ravi via Saabnet). This type of rant is really getting tiresome whenever I hear it. If you all want to affect the "socially unacceptable" issues cited here with owning a Hummer, why not set a good example and trade you Saab in for a Prius.

Also, Ravi, thanks for clarifying that you live in Canada. Please continue to hurl your "stones" from your glass, Canadian house. It's your right to do so!! I also find it curious that most Canadian's live close to the border with the US. Could it be that they secretly desire to become American, or want to be associated with America, or share some common ways of life with Americans (SUV's, etc.), or want to be able to access America easily? Hmm, if Canada is so wonderful, why has most of the population settled so close to the US border?

Really Ravi, your statement about what's wrong with America is so incendiary (sic?) and offensive to me as an American that it deserved challenging -- but I'll stop ranting for the sake of and humanity for our fellow Saaber's. That's o.k., no need to thank me now -- silence will be assumed as understanding from all. Buhh-Byye!
