"Underneath, the Optra is actually the newly launched Daewoo Nubira. The Optra features a very sporty cabin that’s definitely lifted out of Volkswagen’s design book. It features a Blaupunkt 2-DIN stereo with a 5-disc in-dash CD changer, 6-speaker system and a glass-mounted antenna. Other standard features include all power amenities including power folding side mirrors. Powered by an E-TEC II 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve inline-4 engine, the Optra is capable of 110 bhp at 5,800 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Like the Aveo, the Optra is available with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic with gate-type shifter and adaptive shift control logic. The power plant, like its smaller 1.5-liter brother found in the Aveo is certified Euro-III compliant."
The pic is for the look of the one on sale in Canada. GM currently has no plans for sale of Optra in US although the will be bring the Daewoo based Aveo here.
