And they know it. Please don't take this the wrong way, Heckler.
My wife and I were looking around there about a year ago and she wanted to pop into that big mall to do a little shopping. I was a good sport and went along.
Most malls in America that have car displays might have a few Saturns, Pontiacs, or Fords on display. Nothing glitzy, just dealers trying to get the products in the public eye.
So what does the mall in Newport Beach have on display? BMW? No. Lexus? No. Jag? No. Those are what normal people drive. They had an Aston Martin on display. It was a nice car, but rather obnoxious for a mall display.
What was worse was the attitude my wife got in every store. She's in her late 20's, but looks late teens (asian eternal youth thing). The teens working the counters (who couldn't afford the products without daddy's $$$) looked down their noses at her, and treated her with disrepect. We were pulling down a healthy 6 figures between us, so we could buy anything in the store. What's with these snotty brats?
Needless to say, I won't move there anytime soon. It's as white as Minnesota, and kids raised there don't have a clue what the "real world" is.
