Keith, you're absolutely right, I've been won over by Saab, and I know that I can win over others. Especially now that I'm armed with first hand knowledge of almost every other car in its class, thanks to extensive test driving.
But I have to tell you that a nav system is more than a distracting gadget. I have an after market one in the explorer that I drive now, and I use it at least two or three times a week. I’ve got the Thomas guide memorized for the LA area, but I still end up looking for faster routes, and I’m helpless in Orange County or anywhere else. I find that it’s safer than looking at a map, and more convenient than taking down directions ahead of time. Could it be that this is the one area in which Saab has not anticipated my needs and desires?
Still…..Lost in Los Angeles
