The 17-inch snows will work but to use them will involve removing and reinstalling the tires from your rims twice a year. Or buying new 17-inch rims which will be significantly more expensive than new 16-inch rims.
Generally speaking, when your driving conditions involve deep snow (i.e. Maine?) it is better to use a smaller diameter wheel clad with a higher aspect-ratio tire. This combination yields nearly the same overall outer diameter, but is narrrower so it will roll thru the snow easier.
I run P225/50-VR16's in the summer and P195/65-R15's in the winter. Outer diameter nearly the same but over an inch narrower.
With an Aero you will need 16-inch wheels at a minimum,(I belive). Check you owner's manual to be sure
