OT: Accident in Chrysler T&C disappointing!!(longish) Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Tue, 9 Dec 2003 19:47:38 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So Monday night, I was in the passenger seat of my friend's 1998 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. We were goin about 35, when a guy (Old Aerostar taxi) crosses the yellow lines and drives right in our lane. With all the snow we had here in MA, my friend couldn't stop or swerve in time 'cause it was slippery. Well, the taxi plows into us head first, goin a little faster than we were. BAM! The bags go off and smack me hard in the face (they smelled like a$$ too and my ears are STILL ringing).
I figured there would be some good front end damage, but when I came to (we both blacked out for a sec), I saw that the footwells were crunched, the dash moved toward us and the doors would hardly open. Once outside, it was evident the wheels had moved back to the beginning of the door, and the engine was pushed back against the firewall. Now this was not a huge accident, but I'm hurting. My back, my neck, my shoulders, even my chest.
Now, for a "family car" such as this is/was supposed to be, the thing did horrible!!!! I am quite glad, though, that I wasn't in my 9000, even though I'm sure I probably wouldn't be hurting as bad right now!
Any similar experiences?? I was really surprised at how bad the van did!
