Hi Gang,

I love my '03 Aero, but I had a chance to test drive a Misubishi Evo with the Brembo brake upgrade on a 50 mile jaunt this afternoon... Wow - they put the fun back in driving. I have had M-Bimmers, an Audi tt, hotted-up Preludes and two Aero's - but this thing is immediate, nervous, hyper-intoxicating. We were buying a new Montero Limited for research-field work/family/kayak/mountain bike hauling etc. (by the way... $4K dealer incentive, $1K loyalty, $1K coupon - 0% financing for up to 72 months) and I needed a break from the paperwork - so they offered me an "extended" drive. What a blast! It would be a punishment on long drives, though and the gear whine, turbo howl, exhaust boom and tire noise (Yokahama A-046's) made the radio a visual feature only... and to think the whole package is right around $30K! And they were willing to deal$2-3K off sticker... tempting. It desparately needs a 6th gear - like the WRX- STi.

If you get a chance - drive this thing :-)
